The next-generation MINI Cooper made its debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, growing in size and space.
The new MINI Cooper S will feature a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, though the British automaker explained that torque can be boosted to 221 lb-ft for a limited time. Most noticeable however is that the MINI Cooper S grows 4.5 inches in length, is 1.7-inches wider and 0.3-inches taller.

But perhaps the biggest change to MINI enthusiasts is the elimination of the traditional central novelty-sized tach. This time around, there’s a digital display screen that’s available up to 8.8 inches in size.
